1. Acceptance of Terms

By using CommunityPlaylist (“the Bot”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Bot.

2. Bot Functionality

The Bot monitors text channels where it is authorized and listens for Spotify track links. When a link is detected, the Bot adds the track to a predefined Spotify playlist.

3. User Data

  • Message content (to detect Spotify links)
  • User ID and channel ID (for activity logging / abuse prevention)
  • Spotify link metadata
  • Encrptyed Spotify Token (for interfacing with Spotify API)

4. Usage Restrictions

  • No spamming or flooding playlists
  • No use that violates Discord’s Terms of Service
  • No interference with the Bot

5. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Bot is provided “as is.” We make no warranties regarding uptime, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any damages or data loss arising from the use of the Bot.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to remove access to the Bot for any reason, including misuse or violation of these terms.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.

Privacy Policy

1. Information Collected

  • Message Content —only messages containing Spotify links are processed.
  • User & Channel Metadata —user ID and channel ID may be logged.
  • Spotify Metadata —track name, artist, album (via Spotify API).
  • Spotify Token  — For creating playlists on behalf of a user (via Spotify API).

2. How We Use Information

To detect Spotify links, add tracks to the playlist, and optionally log additions to prevent duplicates or abuse.

3. Data Retention

No message content or user data is stored permanently. You can choose to delete your Spotify Token and any point via the website.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data. The only external service is the Spotify API.

5. Your Choices

  • Remove the Bot: You may remove it from your server at any time.
  • Data Removal: You may remove all your stored data in the Website Dashboard

6. Children’s Privacy

The Bot is not intended for users under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect data, but no system is completely secure. Use at your own risk.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes consent.
